So many times I hear: I don’t have the time, I can’t be consistent right now my life is too busy, I feel guilty for leaving my kids to workout…
Life gets hectic, it gets difficult, messy, and HARD. Some of us are just trying to be strong enough to carry the weight of our own world on our shoulders and not fall. I’ve been here, girls, and it’s overwhelming.
But today I encourage you to start investing time into YOURSELF.
Here’s what you need to know: it’s ok to invest in yourself because at the end of the day, you will only become BETTER: a better mother, a better friend, a better wife. And that not only benefits you, it benefits everyone else around you!!
Here’s a few action steps you can take today to start investing in yourself:
1. Write out a few things that help you relieve stress: yoga, workouts, cooking, stretching? Everyone has a different version…what does it look like for you?
2. Look at your schedule for the week…how many days can you fit this into your schedule? If you need to talk to your spouse about splitting the kids during this time, do it! Try to remove all of the roadblocks that will keep you from accomplishing this.
3. Be consistent throughout the week and reevaluate at the end of the week. How much better did you feel after having a few times to yourself this week? As you move into the next week, repeat what worked!
Your mood, your stress levels, your overall SELF will be so much happier and healthier!!
